Fear of God is therefore a good thing. It will enable us to live sin-free lives. One can sin and offend God. Sin causes a person to be cut off from God. Keep your distance from sins at all times. We don't pursue bad things out of fear. It instils in us a healthy regard for things that are superior to us in size, power, and majesty. In addition, we should fear God alone, not people.
