Set in the heart of Dubai, in the Al Garhoud area near the Dubai international airport, American College of Dubai has been accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education. The institution was established in the year 1990 and moved to a purpose-built facility in 1998. Further expansion of the college was completed in the year 2001. A major refurbishment along with the introduction of additional facilities was undertaken in the year 2008.
